2009 Fall Fun

We have enjoyed the last few weeks of no snow. It was hard to believe that we made it to Halloween without even a flake. But the weather had a trick instead of a treat for us with some intense wind. Our power was out all morning long and trick or treating was pretty crazy. A couple costumes were difficult to keep together. Still it was cute watching the kids running around the neighborhood trying to catch their masks and halos. We started our festivities at our cousin party. We went trunk or treating at the church (they moved it indoors because of the wind) and then ended the night hitting a few homes in the neighborhood. Here are the kids:

borrowed nerdy girl glasses...not really her costume, wish I had thought of it.

The real nerd, our cousins Nylah and Chris

"Bumblebee" The coolest Autobot according to Eli

Mouse and Angel

Another mouse, of the cartoon variety

Not happy

Jordyn hits her principal perfectly in the face with a whipped cream pie! Good aim Jordy.

Ready for Trick or Treating. Eli looks excited

Kaci and cousin Reese. Twins.

Trick or Treating the church before we head outside.

Cousins Amber and Brigg...what a cute giraffe

Cupcake walk at the cousin party

I didn't know who this kid was, but he was at the church. When Eli saw he was Optimus Prime, they were instant friends.

Some of the cousins...the ones who survive Aunt Paula's photo shoot!
She transformed Amber's garage into a studio for our party. Thanks Paula P. :)

The morning after our crazy fun weekend, just before church.

Jessica, I love where I live and know I'm where I'm supposed to be... But one of the hardest things about not living in Alaska (aside from the obvious distance from family) is seeing who my friends certainly would be and how much I admire and long to join their fun. I just love you guys and miss you more than you know. Thanks for sharing your blog!
