Dental Day

In this picture Jordyn is waiting for her ride to school. It was just some random day that I saw her sitting there and for some reason I felt like snapping a picture.  She has been such a great student these last couple of years. Only one quarter left of 1st grade!  It is amazing at how much she has progressed in school and how much she has grown. I love listening to her read. She has such a sweet voice. Unfortunately, today she had it rough...she had to get a tooth pulled. The dentist said she did excellent but it still wasn't very much fun.  All afternoon she would give me updates on the status of her sleepy face and just after she was numbed, she kept asking if she had a fat lip. I just tried to reassure her that all would be well with time. :)  We got a handout when we left the office directing us what she should be able to eat for the rest of the day. To her delight, ice cream was on the list! Everything else was completely disregarded as an option after ice cream was mentioned. Hey, I would totally milk that one too!  All the kids took advantage at Dairy Queen of Jordyn's dental day.  Now Jordyn is looking forward to the Tooth Fairy's visit. Should be a good one!
