Kaci is 5

I'm finally posting Kaci's birthday pics. She turned 5 on the 16th so we had a big birthday bash on the Saturday before which happened to be Valentines Day. It made for an easy theme-- there were hearts and pink everywhere!  I love my sweet little Kaci Maci and hopes she knows how happy we are to have her light up our lives. A few highlights about her are:
1. She gives hugs out like there is no tomorrow and she can't help but squeeze a little too hard sometimes :)
2. She loves pink
3. She pays attentions and observes, noticing details you would never guess.
4. She loves her brother and sisters
5. She loves her cousin Reese
6. Sometimes things have to be just right. Like her shoes tied perfectly or her hair just how she wants. She even likes her blankets on her bed in the right order.  I used to wonder if she was going to end up  a little OCD.
7. She's got spunk and since she was very little couldn't sit still very long, when she goes somewhere she runs.
8. She is enjoying her dance class and I find her at random times dancing like a penguin. (They will be doing a dance recital using Happy Feet music)
9. She always reminds us to help her with her personal prayers before bed.
10. She says "I love you mommy" a record number of times every day.

I love you too Kaci. Happy 5th Birthday!

Blowing out the candles!

Mommy's and mommy-to-be enjoy some chit chat time.

PRESENTS!

Daddy loves his little girl!  And a princess at that.

I got her a cheap birthday crown, that was supposed to light up which I knew she would LOVE. Right away, when we pushed the button only 1 little light flickered out of like 20. Then Kali tried to put it together and it broke. Kali--- the sweet Auntie that she is--- went out just before the party was starting to get another one. Obviously, Kaci loved it, especially since it had other jewelry accessories along with it.

A picture of the party favors we used as a quick decoration. They were candy leis that were given out at the end of the party. Thanks Ryan for helping make them and thanks Kali and Ryan P. for coming up with the idea of hanging them!

Here's grandma, Uncle Ryan and Kali.

The kids decorated heart shaped cookies as you can see from Jordyn's masterpiece.

This was Ryan's idea of a birthday crown!  Cute babe.

I had to take a picture of all our yummy food.
